⋆˚࿔ Story boarding ⋆˚࿔

Hey guys!!

So last week, we were introduced to storyboarding and got to make our own storyboards!!

I decided to use this clip from the movie "Spider-Man: Homecoming":

Here's how it turned out:

A storyboard is a visual representation of how a story will occur. I learned that you don’t have to be an artist to storyboard and that there isn’t a right or wrong way to do it. A good storyboard is one that is able to be watched. It includes details that appeal to the senses such as lighting, descriptions of sounds, and descriptions of movements. Storyboards also allow you to see every shot in advance before the actual project is filmed and edited. This allows for any wanted changes to be made.

When storyboarding, I think it is important to make sure that everything is able to be visualized. You should be able to feel like you are truly watching the actual project and conjure up each moment in your mind. Additionally, I also think it’s important to remember that your storyboard does not have to be perfect. It’s just a really detailed rough sketch that brings your ideas together. It can be challenging when you think that everything has to be a certain way, and it essentially just takes the fun and creativity out of it.

Creating my storyboard was a fun and great experience!! However, the process was lengthy and by the end of it, my hand hurt a lot from all the drawing. Also, next time I storyboard I would probably do it digitally since this time it took up a lot of paper. I had to draw extra boxes on the back of my papers to make sure I had enough for all the shots. But, it was really cool going shot by shot and analyzing each detailed aspect of the clip!! :D

Hope you enjoyed and stay tuned for more!! :)
