This week, we learned about different types of shots and angles. Here are some shots I took using them:
POV Shot: This is a point-of-view shot. To film this shot, my friend stood behind me and held the camera in front of my face. I wanted to show my view/perspective when doing a simple task like typing.
Establishing Shot: This is an establishing shot. I filmed this outside in the butterfly garden at my school. I thought the greenery was nice and created a bright mood, a good place to film and set a scene. My goal with this shot was to introduce the location and create an ambiance.
Wide Shot: This is a wide shot. I also filmed this in the butterfly garden. For this shot, I had my friend film me walking forward/farther away from the camera. It was also important that I wasn't too close or too far away from the camera, so my friend had to tell me where to start and when to stop walking. My goal for this scene was to make sure I was fully shown in the frame while also showing my surroundings.
Close-up: This is a close-up shot. I found these really pretty flowers when I was walking home from school and thought they'd be good for this shot. I realized that there were little ants on them too after I watched it back. My goal with this shot was to show the smaller details of the flowers.
Ground Level Shot: This is a ground-level shot. For this shot, I laid on the floor and filmed my dog, Bella, running up to the camera. It took a few tries to film this because she would only do it if she got a treat. My goal with this shot was to feature/make my dog the main focus.
Hi Tatyana Augustin!! I found myself fond of your POV shot. It really makes it feel like your inside the subjects mind.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed your ground level shot. The dog Bella is very cute I'm glad you made her the focus point of the shot. Also the shot was very still so great job on that!!
The POV was very well done. It really looks like you used professional camera equipment to capture the video. I really like the close up shot because not only does it show the beauty of the flower but you can also see the ants crawling around on the petals.
ReplyDeleteHi Tatyana!!
ReplyDeleteIn your establishing shot, I really like that you can clearly see and appreciate the greenery of the scene. It makes me feel peaceful!
Also in your close up, seeing that you captured the small details on the flower, like the ants. Make it an enjoyable and very pretty shot.
